Armenia Women’s National Team Draws with Kazakhstan in 2027 World Cup Qualifiers

The Armenia women’s national football team earned its first point in the 2027 World Cup qualifying stage.
In the 3rd round of Group C6, Mariam Stepanyan’s team played a 1-1 draw at home against Kazakhstan. The match took place in Yerevan.
The scoring opened in the 35th minute when Svetlana Karagyozyan gave Armenia the lead with a crucial first-half goal.
However, Armenia could not hold onto the lead, and in the 70th minute, Amina Bibbosynova equalized, securing a draw for Kazakhstan.
Notably, 17-year-old Samira Shikhshabekova made her debut for the Armenia women’s national team. The Manchester City academy graduate started the match in the lineup.
After three matches in Group C6, Armenia has 1 point. Kazakhstan leads the group with 7 points, and Belarus is second with 6 points.
