Boxing

The Armenian women's boxing team is in the final stage of preparation in Sofia before heading to Belgrade, where the Women's World Boxing Championship will kick off on March 9.

Under the guidance of head coach Vazgen Badalyan, the Armenian athletes are sparring with Bulgarian boxers. These test matches help assess the athletes' form and make tactical adjustments ahead of the year's main tournament.

Tomorrow, the team will travel to Serbia. The draw will take place on March 8, and the World Championship fights will begin on March 9.

Armenia's National Team Roster:

50 kg – Anush Grigoryan
54 kg – Ekaterina Sycheva
60 kg – Sona Harutyunyan
63 kg – Elida Kocharian

Unfortunately, the 2022 European champion Ani Ovsepyan (70 kg) will miss the tournament due to injury.
