The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has published an updated ranking of national teams, in which the Armenian women's team has appeared for the first time in the last 15 years. The team took 87th place among 118 countries, which is an important step in the development of Armenian basketball.
The inclusion in the ranking became possible thanks to the participation of the Armenian team in the 2024 European Championship for Small Countries. At the tournament, the Armenian team took 6th place, demonstrating progress and earning the right to be included in the global ranking.
The top 10 of the FIBA ranking traditionally includes the strongest teams in the world: the USA, Australia, France, China, Spain, Belgium, Canada, Serbia, Japan, and Brazil.
The full ranking can be found on the official FIBA website.
