Armenia Women Suffer Heavy Defeat to Belarus and End Their 2027 World Cup Qualifying Campaign

The Armenia women’s national football team has completed its campaign in the qualifying round for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
In the Matchday 4 fixture of Group 6 in League C, the team led by Mariam Stepanyan faced Belarus and suffered a heavy 6-0 defeat.
The match was played in the Georgian city of Gori at the Tengiz Burjanadze Stadium. Senida Petak was the referee of the game.
For Armenia, this was the final match of the current qualifying campaign. Earlier, the Armenian team managed to earn one point after drawing 1-1 with Kazakhstan.
As a result, the Armenia women’s national team finished the 2027 World Cup qualifying stage with one point. Despite the difficult defeat in the final round, the team gained important international experience, which should help the further development of women’s football in the country.
