The Russian Youth League season has ended — how did the Armenian footballers perform?

The U19 Russian Youth League season, which has been held in the “spring–autumn” format since 2024, has come to an end. After 30 rounds, Zenit St. Petersburg’s youth team became the champion. CSKA Moscow finished just one point behind, while Krasnodar took third place.

However, our primary focus is on the footballers of Armenian origin who played for various teams in the Russian U19 Championship — including Armenia U21 national team player Stepa Gigolyan, who moved from his hometown club Krasnodar to Sochi at the beginning of the year.

Lokomotiv Moscow U19 (4th place)

Artur Ananyan (central midfielder, 19) — 8 matches (1 start), 2 assists. Appeared in the last eight rounds.

Akron Konoplev Academy U19 (9th place)
