Yura Melikyan makes EuroCup debut with Balkan Botevgrad

Armenia national team basketball player Yura Melikyan has made his debut in the BKT EuroCup. The 20-year-old played his first game in the competition for Bulgarian club Balkan Botevgrad.
In the opening round of the EuroCup, Melikyan's team faced Ratiopharm Ulm on the road in Germany. The hosts claimed a 98-84 victory.
The Armenian basketball player spent 17 minutes on the court, recording 4 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist.
Melikyan has therefore begun his campaign in one of the major club competitions in European basketball.
During the 2026/27 season, Melikyan will represent two Bulgarian clubs in different competitions. He will play for Balkan Botevgrad in the EuroCup, while continuing to represent Botev 2012 in the Bulgarian domestic championship.
