Today, July 10, the 2025 European Youth Boxing Championships begin in Novi Pazar, Serbia, under the auspices of the EUBC. The tournament will run through July 16 and bring together athletes from several European countries, despite a noticeable drop in participation.
The tournament will be streamed live on the European Boxing Confederation’s YouTube channel.

On the very first day of competition, Armenia will be represented in the ring by Suren Kavtalyan (60 kg) and Kamo Vardanyan (63 kg).
Notably, due to the mass transition of countries to the newly formed World Boxing organization, many left the IBA and its European branch EUBC. This has impacted participation numbers — in some weight classes, competition is largely symbolic. All six Armenian girls have already secured at least bronze medals, with Suzanna Ishkhanyan and Viktoria Sahakyan advancing directly to the finals.
Among the boys, Tigran Kirakosyan (50 kg) and Suren Bablumyan (46 kg) have also guaranteed themselves at least bronze medals.
Participating teams include Armenia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Germany, Spain, Moldova, Slovakia, Georgia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Malta, and Belarus.
