The Armenia U17 national team began their EURO 2026 qualifying campaign with a 1-2 defeat against Northern Ireland. The only goal for Armenia was scored by Armen Ghazaryan, who plays for the Spanish academy Boadilla.
The next match for Armenia will take place on October 31 against Finland, who lost 0-1 to Cyprus in the opening round.
The Group 11 mini-tournament is being held in Cyprus, where four teams — Armenia, Cyprus, Northern Ireland, and Finland — are competing for promotion to League A of the EURO 2026 U17 qualifiers.
The top two teams in the group will advance to League A, while the third and fourth-placed teams will move to League B.
