Armenia U17 youth national team lost to Greece in a friendly match

On September 16, in Yerevan, the Armenia U17 youth national team played a friendly match against their peers from Greece and lost 1–3.
The only goal for the Armenian side was scored by Pyunik Yerevan academy player Andranik Yervandyan, who netted a powerful long-range strike. For Yervandyan, this was already his fourth goal in the last three matches for the U17 national team, along with 3 assists to his name.

The second match between Armenia and Greece will take place on September 18. These friendlies are part of the preparation for the U17 European Championship qualifying round.
Armenia will play in the same group as Finland, Northern Ireland, and Cyprus. The tournament will be held in Cyprus from October 28 to November 3.
