Full Freestyle Wrestling Results from the UWW Ranking Tournament in Budapest

The freestyle wrestling competition at the 2026 UWW ranking event, the Polyák Imre, Varga János & Kozma István Memorial, has concluded in Budapest.

The tournament began on July 15, while medals in all ten men’s freestyle weight categories were awarded on July 16. Wrestlers in the 57 kg, 61 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg and 86 kg divisions competed on the opening day, followed by the 79 kg, 92 kg, 97 kg and 125 kg categories on the second day.

Representatives of India, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, the United States, China, Georgia, Mongolia, Azerbaijan and Bahrain won gold medals. Kazakhstan finished first in the final team standings with 148 points.

The Greco-Roman wrestling competition will begin in Budapest on July 17, while the women’s wrestling tournament will also continue. The memorial event will conclude on July 19.

Armenia did not participate in the freestyle wrestling competition but will be represented by two wrestlers in Greco-Roman wrestling: Slavik Galstyan in the 67 kg category and Hayk Khloyan in the 97 kg category.
