All results of Armenian athletes at the Youth Olympic Festival 2025

From July 20 to 26, 2025, the Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) was held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Young Armenian athletes under 18 competed in six sports: cycling, judo, artistic gymnastics, shooting, taekwondo and swimming.

Team Armenia won one bronze medal, secured by judoka Tigran Sarukhanyan in the under 73 kg category. This result was significantly worse than the 2023 festival in Maribor, when Armenia won four medals (2 gold and 2 bronze). At that time, all medals were won by Armenian gymnasts Hamlet Manukyan, Mamikon Khachatryan and Robert Gyulumyan. In 2025, these athletes competed at the Summer Universiade, where Manukyan became champion.

In the medal standings, Italy topped the table with 19 gold, 19 silver and 12 bronze medals. France finished second with 15 gold, 18 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Cycling (road)

• Eduard Grigoryan — 47th place (out of 98) in the individual time trial.

• Eduard Grigoryan — 74th place (out of 89) in the road race.

Artistic gymnastics (all-around)

• Shekspir Gevorgyan — 74th place (out of 79).

Judo

• 55 kg: Shavarsh Nahapetyan — 7th place (3 wins).

• 73 kg: Tigran Sarukhanyan — 3rd place, bronze (4 wins).

Shooting

• 10 m air pistol (men): Grigor Poghosyan — 17th place (28 athletes).

• 10 m air pistol, solo (men): Grigor Poghosyan — 11th place (24 athletes).

• 10 m air pistol, mixed team: Armenia — 19th place (22 teams).

• 10 m air pistol, mixed team (hit/miss): Armenia — 16th place (22 teams).

• 10 m air pistol (women): Edita Manucharyan — 23rd place (24 athletes).

• 10 m air pistol, solo (women): Edita Manucharyan — 17th place (22 athletes).

• 10 m air rifle (men): Migran Gabrielyan — 19th place (27 athletes).

• 10 m air rifle, solo (men): Migran Gabrielyan — 22nd place (26 athletes).

• 10 m air rifle, mixed team: Armenia — 24th place (26 teams).

• 10 m air rifle, mixed team (hit/miss): Armenia — 23rd place (26 teams).

• 10 m air rifle (women): Lilia Martirosyan — 25th place (32 athletes).

• 10 m air rifle, solo (women): Lilia Martirosyan — 24th place (28 athletes).

Swimming

• 100 m breaststroke (men): Gor Hetchumyan — 13th place (28 athletes).

• 200 m breaststroke (men): Gor Hetchumyan — 13th place (25 athletes).

• 100 m freestyle (women): Margarita Gevorgyan — 49th place (51 athletes).

• 50 m freestyle (women): Margarita Gevorgyan — 45th place (49 athletes).

Taekwondo

• 48 kg (boys): Sergey Davtyan — lost in the first bout.

• 55 kg (boys): Davit Grigoryan — lost in the first bout.

• 63 kg (boys): Stepa Yeremyan — 2 wins, reached the quarterfinals.

• 46 kg (girls): Melani Grace Ayvazyan — lost in the first bout.

• 55 kg (girls): Ani Bedyan — lost in the first bout.
