Undefeated Armenian boxer Vladimir Sarukhanyan (19-0) will fight for the IBO International lightweight title against Tanzanian Abdul Rashid (9-0). The bout will take place on April 12 in Dubai.
For 25-year-old Rashid, this will be his first fight outside of Tanzania, where he has won all nine of his matches, seven of them by knockout.
35-year-old Sarukhanyan already has experience in championship bouts. His most recent fight took place in August 2024, when he knocked out Akzhol Sulaimanbek Uulu (16-3) to win the EBP championship title.
