Armenian boxer Vage Sarukhanyan (22-4-2) scored a confident victory over Kazakhstan’s Nurtas Azhbenov (15-1) by unanimous decision after six rounds. The fight took place on April 18 during the IBA.PRO-2 boxing event in Chelyabinsk.
This marked the first loss in Azhbenov’s professional career.
In the main event of the evening, former world champion Sergey Kovalev (36-5-1) knocked out Artur Mann (22-5) and immediately announced his retirement from professional boxing.
