A Weightlifting Tournament in Memory of Yurik Vardanyan Held in Kaliningrad

On September 20–21, a major regional weightlifting tournament was held in Kaliningrad, dedicated to the memory of Olympic champion Yurik Vardanyan and the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The tournament was organized by the Kaliningrad Region Weightlifting Federation and the Armenian Cultural Center. The main initiator of the event was Gor Hugoyan, founder and head of the sports-patriotic club “Monte.”
Around 100 athletes from across the region took part in the competition. The tournament was held at a high organizational level and gathered a wide audience of spectators.
The organizers expressed special gratitude for the support to Artur Harutyunov, Sogomon Kazaryan, Suren Manukyan, and gave particular appreciation to Babken Asatryan for his assistance in holding the tournament.
