On April 15, the 2025 Yerevan Mayor's Open Boxing Cup will kick off at the MIKA Sports Complex in Yerevan. Boxers from 10 countries will take part in the tournament: Armenia, Cyprus, Israel, Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Palestine, and Moldova. The Armenian national team will be represented by 30 boxers.
Many of the participating teams have brought their strongest athletes to Yerevan, including European champions Edmond Khudoyan and Muslim Gadzhimagomedov, who will compete for the Russian national team.
The tournament will be broadcast live on the official YouTube channel of the Armenian Boxing Federation.
