On November 1, the new 2025/26 season of Armenia’s ProBasket A-League tips off, featuring eight clubs — six Armenian and two American teams. Among the participants: Urartu, BKMA, Artik, Erebuni, Olimpavan, Atis, and the American clubs US Titans and Phoenix Perception, who will join the competition in December.

BKMA
A joint project between the Basketball Federation of Armenia and the Ministry of Defense, the BKMA team consists of players who also serve in the military. Since its founding in 2020, the team has built a strong spirit and become a serious contender in the league.
BKMA is the 2023/24 ProBasket A-League champion and one of the main favorites of the new season. The club plays a key role in developing players for Armenia’s national and youth teams.
Hatis
Founded in 1983 in Abovyan, the women’s club “Khatis” was one of the leaders of Soviet basketball, winning the USSR Cup twice. In 2009, the team returned to the international stage by participating in the FIBA EuroCup.
Now a new era begins — the men’s team “Atis” joins the ProBasket A-League to continue the legacy of the legendary club. In recent years, Atis has successfully competed in national tournaments, proving it is ready to challenge the strongest teams.
Olimpavan
One of the league’s newcomers, Olimpavan is based in the sports complex of the same name, which offers all conditions for professional growth — its own arena, hotel, swimming pool, and gym.
The team focuses on combining experienced foreign players with young talents from its academy, many of whom have already represented Armenia in various national youth teams.
Artik
One of the oldest basketball clubs in Armenia, founded in 1938. Since the first A-League seasons, Artik has consistently been among the strongest, and in 2022/23 became the champion.
Today, it remains the only regional team in the league, known for its basketball school and coach training system. In the new season, Artik aims to surpass last year’s results and fight for medals.
Urartu
Founded in 1989, Urartu has a rich history and notable victories. Among its former players are Olympic champions Viktor Pankrashkin and Alzhan Zharmukhamedov.
Since the creation of the A-League in 2017, Urartu has won the Super Cup three times, became league champion, and won the Eurasian League (2019).
This season, national team stars Arkadi Mkrtchyan, Daniel Gevorgyan, Karen Melikyan, and Araik Gevorgyan will lead the team. With strengthened foreign signings, Urartu is aiming only for the championship.
Erebuni
Two-time A-League champion (2021/22, 2024/25) and 2024/25 Super Cup winner, Erebuni is the only team successfully competing in three formats: 5x5, 3x3, and phygital 2x2.
The team has retained its core, including two-time league MVP Pavel Khrebtov and Armenian national players Albert Tadevosyan and Haykaz Grigoryan.
Erebuni’s goal remains clear — to defend the title and reaffirm its status as the strongest basketball club in Armenia.
