On the night of March 1st, the city of Commerce, California, hosted the UNF 23 (UpNext Fighting) fight night, featuring seven Armenian MMA fighters. Five of them secured victories, while Albert Tadevosyan and Pargev Khachatryan won and defended their championship titles, respectively.
Albert Tadevosyan (12-3-1) became the interim UNF welterweight champion after submitting LJ Portee (8-10-1) with a choke in the first round. Meanwhile, Pargev Khachatryan confidently won his rematch against Zane Palacio, also submitting his opponent, and successfully defended the UNF Rising Star flyweight championship title.
In addition, Edgar Amirkhanyan won his fight by knocking out Jesse Walker in the first round, Arthur Tsakanyan defeated David Guzman by unanimous decision, and Kamo Grigoryan also secured a victory over Ervin Musabeli via judges’ decision.
Unfortunately, not all Armenian fighters were successful. Sevak Hakobyan suffered a knockout loss against Jason Jones, while Anthony Vardumyan lost to Leonardo Montiel by judges’ decision.
