Ukraine’s national futsal team claimed its first victory at the UEFA Futsal Euro 2026, confidently defeating Lithuania 4–1. The Group B second round match took place on January 25 in Kaunas.
This result means that Armenia has secured first place in the group ahead of time. With victories over Ukraine (2–1) and the Czech Republic (5–4), Armenia now has 6 points and cannot lose the top spot—even if tied with Ukraine—due to the head-to-head advantage.
Thus, Armenia becomes the first team from Group B to qualify for the playoffs and will face the second-placed team from Group A in the quarter-finals. Ukraine, meanwhile, will play the Czech Republic in the final round for a chance to progress from the group.
Group B standings:
Armenia — 6 points
Ukraine — 3
Czech Republic — 1
Lithuania — 1
Group A (after two rounds):
France — 4
Latvia — 3
Croatia — 2
Georgia — 1
The final matchday of the group stage promises excitement: several teams in Group A still have chances to advance, while Armenia can calmly prepare for the playoffs, having secured a historic success.
