Ugochukwu Iwu provided an assist against Sevikyan’s team (VIDEO)

In the 9th round of the Russian Premier League, two players from the Armenian national team faced each other. Ugochukwu Iwu, playing for Rubin, played away against Akron, for which Edgar Sevikyan plays.

Both Armenian footballers started the match and had meaningful performances. Iwu provided an assist to Mirlin Daku — his third of the current season. Sevikyan, meanwhile, was active on his attacking flank and appeared in Akron’s starting lineup for the third consecutive time.

The game turned out to be spectacular: both teams scored twice, and the match ended in an entertaining 2–2 draw. Akron took a 2–0 lead after goals from Pestryakov and Bistrovic, but Rubin came back thanks to goals from Daku and Siwe. For Siwe, this goal was his debut strike in his very first game for the Kazan club.
