Armenia Wins First Medal at 2025 Winter Universiade

The first Armenian athletes competed at the 2025 Winter Universiade. On January 15, two skiers participated as part of the Armenian national team.
Para-skier Garik Melkonyan won a bronze medal in the 10 km race. A total of five athletes competed in this discipline. The champion was a representative of Germany, and the second place was taken by an athlete from Kazakhstan.
Skier Spartak Voskanyan took 21st place among 99 participants in the individual 10 km race.
