Armenia Secures Three Medals at European U17 Boxing Championships as All Semifinalists Are Confirmed

Armenia has secured at least three bronze medals at the European U17 Boxing Championships, currently taking place in Budva, Montenegro. Of the seven Armenian boxers who reached the quarterfinals, three advanced to the semifinals, guaranteeing themselves a place on the podium.
Hakob Sharbatyan (50 kg) defeated Ukraine's Makar Honchar in the quarterfinals by a 4–1 split decision, securing his place in the semifinals.
Eduard Karamyan (60 kg) achieved the same result, beating Ireland's Christy Joyce by a 4–1 split decision.
Romik Harutyunyan (66 kg) secured Armenia's third medal with an impressive victory over Romania's Sebastian Varan. All five judges awarded the bout to the Armenian boxer, resulting in a 5–0 unanimous decision.
Four Armenian Boxers Eliminated in the Quarterfinals
Armenia's remaining four representatives suffered defeats in their quarterfinal bouts, finishing just one victory short of a medal.
Liana Shahinyan (50 kg) lost to Lithuania's Mariama Karlonaite. The bout was stopped in the second round, with the Lithuanian boxer awarded victory by technical knockout (TKO).
Karine Dallakyan (52 kg) was defeated by England's Deyla Lambert via a 0–5 unanimous decision.
In the men's competition, Samvel Grigoryan (48 kg) was unable to overcome Ireland's Finn Riley, losing by a 0–5 unanimous decision.
Menua Ulikhanyan (57 kg) also ended his campaign in the quarterfinals after losing to Georgia's Mate Voloshig. All five judges scored the bout in favor of the Georgian boxer, resulting in a 0–5 unanimous decision.
