Armenian gymnasts had a strong start at the sixth stage of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, taking place in Cairo, Egypt. Three representatives of Armenia advanced to the finals on their respective apparatus.
On the rings, Artur Avetisyan qualified in first place with a score of 14.466, while Vahagn Davtyan followed closely in second with 14.200. Both secured their spots in the final ahead of strong competitors from Egypt, Azerbaijan, and Germany.
Hamlet Manukyan reached the final on the pommel horse with a score of 14.400, finishing third behind gymnasts from Italy and the USA.
Gagik Khachikyan, who also competed on the pommel horse, did not make it to the top eight and missed out on the final.
Tomorrow, qualifications will continue in Cairo. Olympic champion Artur Davtyan will compete in the vault event.
