Tigran Karapetyan — 2025 European Junior Weightlifting Champion

Armenian weightlifter Tigran Karapetyan (up to 71 kg) became the European Champion in the U20 category at the European Youth Weightlifting Championships held in Durrës, Albania.
Karapetyan delivered a brilliant performance, successfully completing all six attempts and setting three European youth records:
145 kg in the snatch,
176 kg in the clean and jerk,
321 kg total.
His compatriot Narek Grigoryan also impressed, earning three silver medals with lifts of 143 kg in the snatch, 175 kg in the clean and jerk, and 318 kg total.
The bronze medal went to Engin Kara from Turkey with 300 kg (136+164).
Thus, Team Armenia already holds three gold medals at the 2025 European Youth Championships in Durrës.
