In the first leg of the Slovak Cup semifinals, Slovan defeated Spartak Trnava 2-1. Spartak’s Kelvin Ofori opened the scoring, but Slovan not only equalized in the first half but also took the lead. First, Robert Mak found the net, followed by Matúš Vojtko.
Armenian footballer Tigran Barseghyan played a role in both of his team’s goals. After his clever backheel pass, Robert Mak’s first shot was blocked by a defender, but he managed to score on the rebound. For the second goal, Barseghyan was officially credited with an assist after delivering a stunning cross with the outside of his foot.
The second leg of the semifinals will take place on April 15. The winner of this matchup will face the strongest team from the Ružomberok vs. Banská Bystrica clash in the final.
