On March 17, the Armenian national football team held its second training session in preparation for the UEFA Nations League match against Georgia, which will take place on March 20 in Yerevan. On this day, several legionnaires joined the national team, as they were unable to arrive earlier due to matches with their respective clubs.
Among those who arrived at the training camp was Tigran Barseghyan. The last time he played for the national team was in October 2023, and now he returns after a one-and-a-half-year break. Barseghyan, who is currently the top scorer of the Slovak league, is in excellent physical shape. It should be noted that he was previously not called up to the national team due to personal reasons related to the decision of former head coach Alexander Petrakov.
In addition to Barseghyan, other players who trained today under head coach John van 't Schip included Artur Serobyan, Edgar Sevikyan, Nair Tiknizyan, Ugochukwu Iwu, Grant-Leon Ranos, Narek Grigoryan, and Stepa Mkrtchyan.
Meanwhile, Georgi Harutyunyan and Vahan Bichakhchyan will only arrive in Yerevan tomorrow, on March 18.
