28-year-old French midfielder Oan Djorkaeff, son of legendary World Cup champion Yuri Djorkaeff, has signed a contract with Italian club Sanremese, which plays in Serie D.
Over the past five seasons, Oan has played in Switzerland for clubs in the second and third tiers. Before that, he had a stint in the Scottish Premiership. The midfielder’s new chapter begins in Sanremo — a city known not only for its music festival but also for its football traditions.
For Sanremese, signing a player with such a famous surname is a notable event. Despite the name, Djorkaeff Jr. is building his football journey step by step, competing across various countries and leagues.
