At ONE FC 173, held on November 16 in Tokyo, Thai champion Superbon Banchamek successfully defended his ONE FC lightweight kickboxing title. In the main event of the evening, he confidently defeated Japan’s Masaaki Noiri by unanimous decision, once again proving himself as one of the strongest kickboxers in the world.
At the same event, Armenian fighter Marat Grigoryan also impressed, earning a victory over Japan’s Rukiya Anpo. For Grigoryan, this win became another important step toward returning to the organization’s title race.
It should be reminded that Superbon won the championship belt in April 2024 by defeating Marat Grigoryan. Since then, the Armenian kickboxer has secured two successful bouts, strengthening his position among the top contenders. As a result, discussions about a potential rematch between Superbon and Grigoryan are becoming more frequent — and fans expect that it might become the next major fight in ONE FC’s lightweight division.
