In the 24th round of the Armenian Premier League, during the match between "Shirak" and "Noah," the main referee, Sargis Khachatryan, awarded three penalties against the Gyumri team.
After the game, "Shirak’s" management expressed dissatisfaction with the officiating, while fans staged a massive protest at the entrance of Gyumri City Stadium. Additionally, the club posted a provocative banner on its Facebook page targeting the Football Federation.
However, all three penalties were justified:
-
In the first incident, Rafik Misakyan clearly fouled Gonçalo Gregório inside the penalty area.
-
In the second case, Vidic stepped on Silva’s foot.
-
In the decisive moment of the match, which led to the winning goal, Grayr Mkoyan tackled Matheus Ayas.
Video replays confirm the referee’s correct decisions.
