Armenian footballer Stephan Soghomonian, as a member of SMU Athletics, won the ACC Men's Soccer Tournament 2025. In the final match of the tournament against Virginia on November 16, Soghomonyan scored the only goal and secured the championship for his team.
In addition, the 21-year-old forward scored in each of the four playoff matches. He netted one goal in the 5–4 win over Wake Forest, the only goal of the match against Stanford, one in the semifinal against Syracuse (5–1), and the decisive goal in the final against Virginia.
Overall, during the season Stephan Soghomonian scored 13 goals and provided 1 assist in 18 matches, while starting in only eight of them.
Following the tournament, the Armenian forward was included in the tournament’s Best XI.

Earlier, Soghomonian played for the youth teams of the German clubs Fortuna Düsseldorf and Unterrath, after which he returned to the United States.
