Today, March 31, the 2025 Boxing World Cup, organized by World Boxing, kicks off in Brazil. The tournament will take place in Foz do Iguaçu, where boxers from 19 countries will compete: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, France, England, Germany, Guatemala, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Norway, Panama, Poland, Switzerland, Sweden, the USA, Uzbekistan, and Wales.
All World Cup fights will be broadcast live on the World Boxing YouTube channel.
It is worth noting that World Boxing is a new federation created as an alternative to the IBA. This federation will be responsible for organizing the Olympic qualification tournaments ahead of the Los Angeles 2028 Games.
The competition will follow new weight categories—10 for men and 9 for women.
