Today, June 27, the 2025 Russian Freestyle Wrestling Championship kicked off in Moscow. This tournament serves as a qualifier for the World Championship, scheduled for September in Croatia.
On the first day, preliminary matches and semifinals in all weight categories will take place. Bouts will be held simultaneously on seven mats.
