Krasnodar captain Eduard Spertsyan has not ruled out that the FONBET Russian Cup Super Final against Moscow’s Spartak may have been his last match for the Bulls.

The match took place on Sunday in Moscow at the Luzhniki Stadium. Regular time ended in a 1-1 draw, while Spartak proved stronger in the penalty shootout. Spertsyan played the full match and converted his penalty, but it was not enough for Krasnodar to win the final.

After the game, the Armenia national team midfielder admitted that the players received words of support despite the painful defeat.

“We are a team that fights for gold. But you can’t always be first. Maybe we would have had a better chance if we had played in Krasnodar,” Spertsyan said on Match TV.

Answering a question about his future, the Bulls’ captain made it clear that different scenarios are possible during the offseason. According to Spertsyan, interest in the team’s players could influence what happens next.

“We’ll see if there is interest in any of us. Anything is possible. Maybe this was my last match for Krasnodar,” the footballer said.

Spertsyan also spoke about his health problems. The midfielder noted that he has been dealing with discomfort for several months and continues to play with injections.

For Krasnodar, the season ended without trophies, although the team came close both to winning the league title and the Russian Cup. The final against Spartak became another painful moment for the club at the end of the season.

It should be noted that Eduard Spertsyan has been called up to the Armenia national team for the June friendly matches against Kazakhstan and Moldova. The games will take place on June 6 and 9 in Yerevan.
