The draw for the 2025 Judo World Championship was held in Budapest. The tournament is set to begin tomorrow, June 13.
On the first day of competition, Armenian judoka Ashik Andreyan will step onto the tatami. His opening match promises to be a tough challenge against 20-year-old Brazilian Michel Augusto — a two-time Pan-American champion and silver medalist of the Grand Slam in Tbilisi.
If Andreyan successfully passes the initial round, he could face one of the tournament favorites in the quarterfinal — World and European Champion Giorgi Sardalashvili from Georgia.
