Draw Held for the 2025 Armenian Freestyle Wrestling Championship

On December 22, the draw for the 2025 Armenian Freestyle Wrestling Championship took place. The tournament will be held from December 23 to 24 in the city of Charentsavan.
The competition will begin on December 23 at 11:00 AM Yerevan time.
Based on the results of the championship, the Armenian national team roster will be formed for participation in the 2026 European Wrestling Championship, which will take place from April 20 to 26 in Tirana, Albania.
In certain weight categories, the competitions will be held using a round-robin system.
Leading wrestlers of the Armenian national team will take part in the championship, including Vazgen Tevanyan (70 kg), Narek Harutyunyan (74 kg), Hayr Alikhanyan (79 kg), Manvel Khndzrtsyan (61 kg), Gurgen Simonyan (97 kg), as well as Grigor Cholakyan (74 kg), who recently began competing under the Armenian flag after transferring from the United States.
