Russia’s Greco-Roman Wrestling Team for the International Tournament in Turkey

From January 7 to 10, the international wrestling tournament Yasar Dogu, Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan will take place in Antalya, Turkey. Although the competition is held among senior athletes, the Russian national team will compete with an under-23 squad.
The Russian team will be led by Olympic medalist Rustam Totrov. The tournament in Antalya will mark the first event on the United World Wrestling (UWW) calendar in 2026 and will be an important stage in preparing young athletes for the international season.
The Russian team traveling to Turkey will also include an Armenian wrestler — Grair Oganesian (67 kg), a medalist at the U-20 World and European Championships and one of the leading athletes in his weight category at the youth level.

It should be noted that freestyle and women’s wrestling competitions will also be held as part of the Antalya tournament. There is currently no information regarding the participation of the Armenian national team.
