Tough Trip to Kazakhstan for Barseghyan and Slovan

Bratislava’s Slovan suffered a narrow defeat in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, losing 0-1 to Kairat in Almaty. The decisive goal came in the 90th minute from a penalty, scored by 16-year-old forward Dastan Satpayev.
The visitors’ situation worsened after Rahim Ibrahim was sent off in the 65th minute. Armenian midfielder Tigran Barseghyan started the match and was substituted in the 91st minute.
The return leg will take place on August 12 in Bratislava.
