At a press conference dedicated to the summer transfer window, Crvena Zvezda's general director Slobodan Terzić inadvertently confirmed the signing of Armenian defender Nair Tiknizyan.
During his speech, Terzić enthusiastically discussed the club's new acquisitions, including Miloš Vujaković and Rodrigo, who have strengthened the defensive line. While speaking about the left-back position, he referred to a "new player" without naming him, but at the end of the conference, he accidentally mentioned Tiknizyan's name.
Nair Tiknizyan is expected to arrive in Belgrade on June 21 for a medical. According to earlier media reports, the 26-year-old Armenian international will sign a three-year contract. Lokomotiv Moscow will receive €1.7 million for the transfer, plus €500,000 in bonuses.
Crvena Zvezda is actively preparing for the start of the UEFA Champions League qualification, where in the second round they will face the winner of the tie between Víkingur (Faroe Islands) and Lincoln (Gibraltar). The Red-Whites will play their first friendly match on June 24 against Sutjeska.
