Slavik Galstyan to compete for bronze at the 2026 European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships

The 2026 European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships continue in Tirana (Albania). Repechage bouts took place this morning, determining the participants of the evening final session.
Armenian wrestler Slavik Galstyan (67 kg weight category) successfully passed the repechage round, defeating Yanis Gendez Nfiri (France) with a score of 5:2. Thanks to this victory, Galstyan earned the right to compete for the bronze medal, where he will face Oleksandr Hrushyn (Ukraine).
In the 97 kg category, another Armenian representative, Hayk Khloyan, lost to Abdul Dzhebi (Turkey). Despite a tied score of 1:1, Khloyan was eliminated from medal contention based on the first-point criterion.
Armenia in the Final Session
Thus, this evening at 20:00 Yerevan time, three Armenian wrestlers will compete for medals:
- Slavik Galstyan (67 kg) — for bronze
- Gaspar Terteryan (72 kg) — for bronze
- Suren Aghajanyan (60 kg) — for gold

The evening session will determine the medalists and champions of the 2026 European Championships in the final weight categories.
