Ghana national team and Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo will continue his career at Manchester City. According to sources, the clubs have fully agreed on the transfer of the 26-year-old winger, which will cost the Manchester club €75 million (around £65 million). The deal is a record transfer in Bournemouth’s history and could become one of the most high-profile moves of the 2026 winter transfer window.
All documents between the parties have already been exchanged and signed, and on January 8 the player will undergo a medical examination in Manchester before signing a long-term contract with City. It is reported that Semenyo chose Pep Guardiola’s project despite interest from four other Premier League top clubs.
Semenyo’s farewell match for Bournemouth turned out to be especially symbolic. After the transfer agreement had been reached, he featured in the game against Tottenham and became the hero of the match, scoring the winning goal in the 95th minute. That goal secured Bournemouth a crucial 3–2 victory.
Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola emotionally commented on his player’s performance:
“He deserved this moment — it’s a real fairytale. Not every player can give so much knowing that a transfer awaits him. Many would have acted differently.”

Antoine Semenyo said goodbye to Bournemouth fans on a high note and is now preparing for a new chapter of his career at one of Europe’s strongest clubs.
