“Shirak” and “Urartu” confidently advance to the Armenian Cup quarterfinals

Gyumri’s Shirak and Yerevan’s Urartu comfortably passed the Round of 16 stage of the Armenian Cup.

Shirak crushed Ararat-Araks 4–0 at home. The goals were scored by Rafik Misakyan, Rudik Mkrtchyan, Vardan Tovmasyan, and Grigor Gumashyan.

Urartu also delivered a dominant performance, scoring four unanswered goals against Van in Yerevan. Karen Melkonyan netted twice, while Edik Vardanyan and Oleg Polyakov added one goal each.

Thus, Shirak and Urartu have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Armenian Cup, where they will be joined by Noa and Ararat-Armenia, who enter the competition at this stage.

The remaining four Round of 16 matches will take place on October 29 and 30, after which the full lineup for the next round will be determined.
