On November 1 in Las Vegas, at UFC Fight Night, Cuban fighter Yadier Del Valle (10-0) earned a stunning first-round submission victory over American-Armenian Isaac Dulgarian (7-2), finishing the fight with a choke.
The bout began disastrously for Dulgarian. Although Isaac initiated the takedown, he soon found himself trapped — Del Valle seized control and applied relentless pressure for over two minutes until Dulgarian was forced to tap out.
This loss marked Dulgarian’s second defeat in four UFC appearances, potentially affecting his future in the promotion. For Del Valle, it was only his second UFC fight — and his second win.
Interestingly, Dulgarian entered the fight as a clear favorite, with many experts predicting an early victory thanks to his strong wrestling skills. However, the outcome was the opposite — Del Valle showed composure and flawless execution, leaving the more experienced fighter no chance.
After the fight, fans began speculating about suspicious betting activity: just before the bout, odds on Del Valle’s victory dropped sharply, and a large amount of money was reportedly wagered on him.
Fans are now calling on the UFC to launch an investigation to determine whether there was any foul play or insider information involved before the fight.
