Armenian figure skater Semyon Danilyants has traveled to Boston, where he will compete tomorrow in the 2025 World Figure Skating Championships. He will be Armenia’s sole representative at this tournament.
For the 18-year-old athlete, this is already his second World Championships. Last year, he finished in 22nd place, while at the recent European Championships, he placed 17th.
Danilyants arrived in Boston together with representatives of the Armenian Figure Skating Federation—Aram Vlasyan, Ari Zakaryan, Garik Azatyan—as well as his personal coach, Martin Degenais.
After arriving in Boston, the Armenian delegation was visited by renowned figure skating coach Rafael Arutyunyan, who works in the United States. He is the coach of the 2024 World Champion, American Ilia Malinin, who will also be competing in Boston.
Rafael Arutyunyan has coached many world champions, including two-time Olympic champion Nathan Chen.
