18-year-old figure skater Semen Danilyants will be the sole representative of Armenia at the upcoming 2025 World Figure Skating Championships, which will take place in Boston from March 25 to 30. For the young athlete, this will be his second World Championships in his career. Last year, at his debut tournament, Danilyants placed 22nd.
The 2025 World Championships hold special significance for figure skaters, as it serves as a qualifying event for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, which will be held in Milan. For Semen, this is an opportunity not only to improve on last year's results but also to earn points that could be decisive for his participation in the Olympics.
Armenia already has two confirmed participants for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
Katya Galstyan — cross-country skiing (7.5 km individual start).
Gleb Mosetsov — alpine skiing (giant slalom and slalom).
