On Wednesday, May 28, the 2024/25 Armenian Premier League season will come to an end. The main intrigue of the final matchday remains the battle for second place between Ararat-Armenia and Urartu.
Before the decisive games, Ararat-Armenia leads Urartu by one point. However, if they finish level on points, Urartu will place higher due to their head-to-head advantage: Dmitri Gunko’s team defeated their direct rival twice and lost once.
Thus, only a win will secure second place for Ararat-Armenia. If they draw or lose, Urartu has a chance to overtake them. For that, Urartu needs at least a draw—provided Ararat-Armenia loses.
