Armenian football club Pyunik has made its first acquisition of the summer transfer window: midfielder Sead Islamović from Serbian club Novi Pazar has joined the team. The Serbian footballer will move to the Armenian club as a free agent.
The 25-year-old midfielder signed a two-year contract with the Yerevan-based club, earning a salary of €240,000 per year (Indeksonline.rs). According to Indeksonline.rs, this is the most lucrative contract of his career. Even at Belarusian side BATE, from which he transferred to Novi Pazar last summer, he did not have such favorable terms.
Last season, Islamović became one of the key players at Novi Pazar, especially standing out in attack alongside veteran Adem Ljajić. His goals in the playoff matches against Radnički Kragujevac and OFK Beograd helped the team achieve historic success and qualify for European competitions.
Novi Pazar finished third in the Serbian league and secured a place in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Pyunik, for its part, finished fourth in the Armenian Premier League and will also compete in the 2025/26 Conference League, starting from the first qualifying round.
Last season, Islamović scored 3 goals and provided 4 assists in 31 matches. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €350,000.
It is worth noting that six players have already left Pyunik following the end of the season.
