Armenia's National Team Concludes Billie Jean King Cup 2025 Campaign

The Armenian women's national tennis team has completed its participation in the Billie Jean King Cup 2025 in Group III, held in Chișinău. In the playoff stage, the Armenian team lost to Moldova with a score of 0:2.
In the first singles match, Aleksandra Korneyeva was defeated by Alina Gamretka — 0:6, 1:6. In the second match, Alina Soghomonyan confidently beat Abigail Ranceli — 6:2, 3:6, but the overall result had already been decided in Moldova’s favor.
Earlier, the Armenian team performed strongly in the group stage, securing three wins — against Malta, San Marino, and Andorra — and finishing first in their group. However, in the playoffs, the Armenian players lost to Finland and then to Moldova, ending their tournament run.
The Group III winner will be determined in the final match between Finland and Moldova.
