In the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifying tournament, Armenia suffered a 0–2 away defeat against Hungary.
After a goalless first half, Daniel Lukács opened the scoring in the 56th minute, finishing a pass from Bendegúz Bolla. In stoppage time, as the Armenian team pushed forward in search of an equalizer, Zsombor Gruber capitalized on a defensive error to seal the final score at 2–0.
