Armenia U20 to face Portugal in first 9–16 placement playoff game

Armenia’s U20 men’s national basketball team will continue its campaign in the FIBA U20 European Championship Division B with a playoff match against Portugal. The game will take place on July 18 as part of the 9th–16th place classification round.

Portugal finished third in Group A with two wins in four matches:

Portugal — Croatia 63:80
Portugal — Slovakia 78:67
Portugal — Great Britain 66:67
Portugal — Bulgaria 70:66

Armenia, meanwhile, placed fourth in Group B, securing one win — against Estonia.

The top two teams from each group advanced to the quarterfinals. From Group A: Latvia and Ireland; from Group B: Croatia and Great Britain. Armenia and Portugal will continue in the classification playoffs to determine positions 9 through 16.
