On September 5 in Yerevan, the Armenia U19 national team, coached by Misha Djorkaeff, played its first friendly against their peers from Uzbekistan. The match ended with a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
The only goal for Armenia was scored by David Batoyan, a product of FC Rostov. The opponents found the net with a free-kick and a converted penalty.
