On May 10, the second round of the UEFA Development Tournament for U15 boys took place in Yerevan. In this round, Armenia U15 defeated their Georgian peers in a penalty shootout.
The regular time ended in a 2-2 draw. For Armenia, the goals were scored by Khachatur Gevorgyan from Pyunik and Samvel Beglaryan from Urartu. In the penalty shootout, the Armenian players were more accurate, winning 5-3.
One of the most impressive moments came from Khachatur Gevorgyan. In the 23rd minute, Georgia was awarded a penalty, but Armenia’s goalkeeper made a save and quickly launched a counter-attack, which Gevorgyan finished with a goal.
It is worth noting that in the first round, Armenia lost to Uzbekistan. The next match will be on May 12 against Latvia.
